I dated Mac during high school, we were married in 1964, and we divorced in 1968. He was a good man. His father, like mine, was killed in action in World War II. Mac had a twin sister, Carol, who I have lost contact with. I understand that Mac died in 1995 (I''m not certain of the date) after going into a diabetic coma. I believe this disease was undiagnosed at the time, but I am not certain of that either.
Mac loved dogs and sailing. He was part of my life during my formative years. We shared that common bond of losing our fathers in war. The world seemed a different place to me after I learned of his death and I know his family and friends were devastated.
