She is survived by four married children, eight grandchildren, her sister, nieces and nephews. She was raised in Phoenix and Sacramento, and was a resident of Long Beach for over 25 years before her passing. She was a talented artist and crafter who enjoyed creating for others. She knit and crocheted for charity and for her friends and family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a wide variety of genres and subject matter. Stanlie suffered from serious health problems in the last years of her life. She passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Mom, a year has passed since you found peace and rest. You were in so much pain, and I am glad you don't suffer anymore. You are deeply loved and missed by your family and friends. This year has taught me so much about who you were as a person and how much you gave to others. I have returned to Long Beach on occasion to more fully appreciate the connection you had to your neighborhood and friends. The outpouring of support and generosity after your death was amazing. And while the kids and I wanted more than anything for you to have lived with us longer in San Diego, I get it now. I love you
